What is the difference between a bar switch and a knife fuse switch?
In-line fuse switch, commonly known as bar switch. It is specifically used in the cell branch box to control the power supply of several buildings in the residential area.
The bar switch should also be a kind of load disconnecting switch. Generally, a power distribution cabinet, for example, outputs a loop of 630 A, and up to two parallel installations. Even if one cabinet is placed on two floors, only four output loops are available. To increase the number of output circuits, the width of the distribution device needs to be significantly reduced.
Knife fuse switch, generally used in switchgear, control capacitors.
There are also differences in appearance: bar switches, fuses are arranged longitudinally; knife fuses, fuses are horizontally aligned.
